Sample sleep schedules for every age from newborn to toddler, with wake windows, nap counts, and realistic bedtimes. Select your baby's age to see their schedule.
0 to 6 weeks
Newborn schedules are not really schedules at all. Follow your baby's sleepy cues and feed on demand. The times above are approximate. Survival mode is the goal for the first 6 weeks.
Every baby is different. These schedules are starting points. Adjust based on your baby's sleepy cues and your family's rhythm.
If your baby wakes at 6 AM instead of 7 AM, shift everything earlier. The wake time sets the whole day.
A 30-minute nap is a short nap regardless of when it happens. Focus on getting full naps (1 hour+) rather than hitting exact times.
The 4-month, 8-month, 12-month, and 2-year regressions will temporarily disrupt even the best schedule. This is normal. Consistency will bring you back.
If the last nap ends too late, bedtime will be a battle. Aim to have the last nap end at least 2 hours before bedtime.
